Give your Fit Boots the care they deserve

Proper maintenance can ensure your Fit Boots last for many years. Here’s how to keep them in top condition:

General Care

Maintain your boots proactively rather than reactively.

After each use, wipe them down, spray the inside with a disinfectant, and ensure they are completely dry before the next use.

If you wear your boots outdoors, especially in grassy, dirty, or sandy conditions, disassemble them and clean all the parts thoroughly. Remember, every part is replaceable, if anything happens to it.

MyFit Elastic Bands

The elastic bands require regular maintenance and should be replaced after approximately 50-60 hours of use.

If not replaced on time, excessive strain may build up on the shells, which can lead to cracks or breakage. How to change them.

MyFit Liners

Keep your liners fresh by spraying them with antibacterial spray after each use. Wash the liners periodically using a regular laundry cycle.

Always allow them to dry completely before the next use, try not to put them in the dryer, if you really need to, use low heat.

MyFit Blades

this spare part does not require regular maintenance. They only need to be replaced when they break due to extensive use. When replacing a broken blade, always replace the corresponding one on the opposite side as well.

For example, if the upper right spring breaks, replace the upper left spring at the same time.

MyFit Treads

Treads should be replaced once the profile - similar to the tread on car tires - is visibly worn down. This is especially important if the boots are used heavily outdoors. They can last for years before needing to change them.

Replacement Intervals

Always follow the recommended replacement intervals provided in the instructions that came with your boots.

  • Light use (e.g., aerobics, dancing): You may be able to extend the replacement intervals.
  • Heavy use (e.g., running on sand, fully compressing the shells): Keep spare parts available and expect to replace them more frequently.

Breaking In New Parts

Whenever you replace a part—including liners—allow time for adjustment.
Just as a new car requires a gentle break-in period, so do new blades or the elastic bands.
