Kangoo Jumps vs Fit Boots
Kangoo Jumps and Fit Boots rebound boots, often called kangaroo boots or jumping shoes, offer a distinctive workout experience that combines fun with fitness. For more than twenty years, these innovative boots have evolved, gaining traction as an effective option for weight loss and a popular choice for low-impact cardio among fitness enthusiasts.
The journey of Kangoo Jumps began in the 1990s with Swiss engineer Denis Naville at the helm. In his quest to find a joint-friendly running alternative, Naville drew inspiration from kangaroos’ dynamic movements to create the first Kangoo Jumps prototype. Designed to reduce exercise impact, these boots emerged as a groundbreaking low-impact running substitute.
Fit Boots History
Dorina Rigo, founder and CEO of Fit Boots, spent 13 years as a Kangoo Jumps distributor and international trainer. That experience gave her firsthand insight into what worked — and what she believed could be improved.
Her goal was to create a new generation of rebound boots with modern technology, improved comfort, greater adjustability, and contemporary design — while making rebound fitness exciting and relevant to a new generation. After two years of development and three prototypes, Fit Boots was born.
Both Kangoo Jumps and Fit Boots are designed to support low-impact cardio by adding a rebound effect that increases the effort needed for balance and body stabilization. That extra effort can also raise calorie burn during workouts, especially when the workout is consistent and the user maintains good form.
What Did Fit Boots Change?
After years of experience with rebound boots, Dorina Rigo set out to modernize both the product and the experience. The result was a new generation of rebound boots with several visible and noticeable changes.
Tool-Free Design
Fit Boots can be assembled and disassembled without special tools. Even components such as the tread can be replaced within seconds, making maintenance and customization simple.
4× More Adjustment Options
The Fit Boots elastic system provides up to four times more adjustment options than traditional rebound-boot systems, allowing users to customize the rebound more precisely — from softer settings for beginners to firmer settings for experienced and athletic users.
Improved Comfort
The redesigned inner liner provides a softer, more supportive fit and was developed to improve comfort during workouts.
Modernized Design
Fit Boots also introduced a more contemporary look and feel, bringing modern colors, styling and product design to rebound fitness.

Rebounding exercises, characterized by jumping and bouncing in rebound boots, not only make for an enjoyable workout but also can support cardiovascular health, balance, and coordination.
Moreover, these activities help strengthen the core, legs, and glutes. As a low-impact exercise, rebounding places considerably less strain on the joints than high-impact activities.
The Bottom Line
Rebound boots have evolved considerably since their introduction in the 1990s. Both Kangoo Jumps and Fit Boots have contributed to making rebound exercise a fun, low-impact alternative to traditional cardio.
Fit Boots builds on that concept with a modernized design, greater adjustability, tool-free maintenance and an emphasis on comfort — giving today’s users more choice in how their rebound workout feels.
